I get a horizontal/diagonal line in my barcode.

A:

Check the platen roller and make sure it has not been cut or split. Never use a razor blade to remove labels from the printer.

Q:

My labels are printing with a white line in the label.  Why is this happening?

A:

Printhead is dirty- clean with isopropyl alcohol and a cotton swab.OR- printhead has a blown pixel and needs replacing

Q:

My printer will not calibrate and I keep getting a ‘‘paper out’’ error.  Why is this happening?

A:

Label sensor may be dirty.  Sometimes a piece of label may stick to the label sensor preventing the sensor from ‘‘seeing’’ the label.  Remove the label, clean with alcohol swab, then re-calibrate.

Q:

My printer is not lining up to the tear off bar but it prints the labels just fine, how do I fix this?

A:

Set the software to “Tear Off’’, this should eliminate the problem.

Q:

My printer is printing the labels extremely slow.  It pauses after every label, how do I increase the printing speed?

A:

When using Windows fonts, most thermal printers will treat them just like a graphic image. the printer has to reload the image every time it prints a label.  Changing the font to a “Printer’’ font should take care of the problem.
